Terms of use

1. Agreement

These terms are between you and the people who run Runergy Lab ("we", "us"). By opening or using Runergy Lab, on the web or as an app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it. The privacy policy explains how information is handled and forms part of these terms.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old (16 where that is the age of digital consent where you live). If you are under the age of majority, use Runergy Lab with a parent or guardian, who is responsible for how it is used. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, are returning from an injury, or have not exercised for a long time, talk to a doctor before starting any training plan.

3. A training tool, not medical advice

Training plans, paces, recovery scores, nutrition notes and everything the AI coach says are general guidance based on the information you enter and on published training methods. They are not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and they cannot know everything about you. You run at your own risk. You are responsible for deciding whether a workout is safe for you on a given day, and for stopping and seeing a qualified professional if something hurts, persists or worries you. Do not delay or ignore medical advice because of something in Runergy Lab.

4. The AI coach

The AI coach is optional. It can be wrong, it can misunderstand you, and it may produce text that sounds confident but is incorrect. It cannot change your plan by itself: every change needs your approval. Do not rely on it for medical, legal or financial decisions. Questions you send to it are handled as described in the privacy policy.

5. Your account

An account is optional. You sign in with your email and a one-time code. Keep your email account secure: anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. Tell us if you think someone else has access. You can sign out, and you can delete your account and the data saved online at any time in Settings, Account & backup. Keep your own backups too: Runergy Lab is provided without a promise that data will never be lost.

6. Your data and your content

You own what you put into Runergy Lab: your profile, plans, logs, notes and files. You give us permission only to store, process and show it back to you, and to send it where you ask (for example to the AI coach, a coach you share with, or a watch service you connect), so the features you use can work. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train AI models.

7. Acceptable use

• Do not try to break, overload, probe or reverse engineer the service, or get around limits such as the daily limit on free coach questions.
• Do not use automated tools to collect data from the service, or use it to send spam or harmful content.
• Do not use someone else's email or data, and do not upload anything you have no right to share.
• Do not use Runergy Lab for anything unlawful.

We may limit or suspend access to anyone who breaks these rules or puts the service or other people at risk.

8. Other services

Runergy Lab can connect to services you choose, such as Garmin Connect, Strava, Intervals.icu, Apple Health or Health Connect. Those services have their own terms and privacy notices, and you use them under your own accounts. Garmin and Garmin Connect are trademarks of Garmin Ltd. or its subsidiaries. Strava and other names belong to their owners. Runergy Lab is independent and is not endorsed by them. If a connected service changes or stops working, the related feature may change or stop too.

9. Our work

The Runergy Lab software, design, name, logo and text belong to us or our licensors. You may use the app for your own training, but you may not copy, sell or build a competing service from it. Training methods such as the VDOT system are described by their authors; Runergy Lab is not affiliated with them.

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep Runergy Lab running, but we cannot promise it will always be available, error-free or unchanged. We may add, change or remove features, and we may update these terms. If a change is significant we will say so in the app, and continuing to use Runergy Lab after the effective date means you accept the new terms.

11. Ending

You can stop at any time. We may end or suspend your access if you break these terms or if we have to stop the service, and we will give notice where we reasonably can. When an account ends, we delete the data saved online as described in the privacy policy. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as 3, 12 and 13) do.

12. Disclaimer

Runergy Lab is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises about accuracy, results (for example a race time), fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

13. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for injury, illness, lost data, lost opportunities or indirect losses that come from using or not being able to use Runergy Lab, or from following a plan or suggestion. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, for example for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

14. Apple App Store and Google Play

If you get Runergy Lab from the Apple App Store or Google Play, these terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google have no duty to provide support or maintenance for the app, and are not responsible for claims about it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms for the iOS app and may enforce them against you. You must also follow the store's own terms.
